Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of Sameday Removals's removal and related services. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Definitions
"We", "Us", "Our" refers to Sameday Removals.
"You", "Your" refers to the customer booking our services.
"Services" refers to removal, packing, storage, and related services.
"Goods" refers to items being moved or stored.
3. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on the information provided at the time of quotation. Additional charges may apply if:
- Access conditions differ from those described
- Additional items need to be moved
- Special requirements arise on moving day
- Delays occur due to circumstances beyond our control
4. Booking and Deposits
A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit amount will be specified in your quotation, typically 20% of the total cost (minimum £50). The balance is due on completion of the move.
By paying a deposit, you confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions and the details provided in your quotation.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- More than 7 days notice: Full deposit refund
- 3-7 days notice: 50% of deposit refunded
- Less than 3 days notice: No refund
- Cancellation on moving day: Full payment may be required
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control, in which case a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
6. Our Responsibilities
We will:
- Provide trained, professional staff
- Handle your goods with reasonable care
- Arrive at the agreed time (subject to traffic conditions)
- Provide appropriate vehicles and equipment
- Maintain valid insurance coverage
7. Your Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide accurate information about goods to be moved
- Ensure safe access at both collection and delivery addresses
- Arrange parking permits if required
- Be present or have a representative available during the move
- Inform us of any fragile or valuable items
- Empty and defrost fridges/freezers before the move
8. Insurance and Liability
We carry Goods in Transit insurance and Public Liability insurance. Our standard cover provides protection for loss or damage caused by our negligence.
We are not liable for:
- Items packed by you unless visible external damage occurred
- Electrical or mechanical items (unless externally damaged)
- Plants or perishable items
- Items of sentimental value beyond replacement cost
- Damage caused by inherent defects or poor packaging
Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery. We recommend you consider additional insurance for high-value items.
9. Excluded Items
We cannot transport hazardous materials including: explosives, flammable liquids, gas cylinders, chemicals, firearms, ammunition, or any illegal substances.
10. Storage Services
If storage is required, additional terms apply. Storage charges are billed monthly in advance. 14 days' notice is required to terminate storage. Items not collected may be disposed of after 90 days of unpaid storage.
11. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer, cash, or card payment. For account customers, invoices are payable within 14 days.
12. Complaints
We aim to resolve any complaints quickly and fairly. Please contact us at help@sameday-removals.com or 07424948531. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may refer it to the relevant ombudsman service.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, traffic incidents, road closures, strikes, or government restrictions.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
